Jacob Sanders

Jacob is a 7th generation Floridian from Jacksonville. He attended the University of North Florida earning degrees in Business Administration and Marketing. At a young age, Jacob found his passion for the outdoors while hunting and fishing with his father.  Jacob began his career managing habitat at Deer Creek Plantation in St. Augustine, FL.  After graduating from college, he worked at Sustainable Water Infrastructure Group which provides innovative soil based nutrient removal systems for agriculture runoff across the state of Florida. During his time with SWIG, he oversaw several multimillion-dollar water quality projects for various agricultural companies.  Since 2023, Jacob has worked on the Habitat Team at Oakwood advising and serving many of its’ clients on their properties.  In 2025, Jacob obtained his Florida real estate license and will join Oakwood Realty Group while still assisting our clients with the Habitat Team.  Jacob enjoys being able to share his passion for the outdoors by advising clients on the purchase and management of exceptional properties.  He will be a valuable addition to the Brokerage Team in Florida while continuing our approach of bringing invaluable Land Expertise to the land purchase and sale process.

ACHIEVEMENTS:

Jacob was the first in the state of Florida to receive a full ride scholarship to college for competitive bass fishing. While fishing the collegiate bass circuit, he fished and placed in two college national championships. Concurrently, Jacob fished professionally on the Major League Fishing Pro Circuit winning and placing in several tournaments before retiring in 2023. He still holds the record for the largest single-day five fish limit in college history of 31.11 lbs.

PERSONAL:

Jacob’s faith in Christ is the cornerstone of his life, which acts as a navigational compass for every step he takes. Jacob comes from a strong family, his father was a cattle farmer and 3rd generation Fireman.  He is grateful for the opportunity to follow his passion in the outdoors and call it work.
