Land Sales Continue to Gain Momentum in 2015

After the sale of two premier riverfront plantations in early 2015 the summer has continued to show improvement in the land market with the sale of 3 mid-size farms, all unique in their own way. We are proud to have been apart of the sale of these great properties. These farms reflect a broader part of the buyer segment returning to the land market and are a great sign for the future. We believe there is great value in these investments as the prices paid are still at a steep discount to the peak of the market and correlate well to the value of the improvements, dirt, timber and agricultural assets the properties possess.

Red Fox Farm sold for $250,000 in July and is a great farm with timber, road frontage and improvements in place, the property was ready to hunt and the new owners are getting ready for hunting season already.

Brigman Farm sold for $440,000 in August and is a 160 acre fully improved working cattle ranch in a superb location Suwannee County near the intersection of I-10 and I-75 in a truly beautiful area of rolling hills, farms and scattered small ponds and lakes.

Mary’s Farm sold for $950,000 in August and is a 355 acre farm in Quitman, located in the heart of what is probably the most prolific County in Georgia for trophy whitetails. Surrounded by great neighbors and consisting of beautiful rolling hills and mature loblolly pines, live oaks and magnolias, this property was a gem for someone looking for a mid-size hunting retreat. The new owner is already placing new stands and cameras and planting for the fall and we are excited to this property progress into a well managed hunting retreat.
